At this time, we are still seeking a certified Ski Patrol Officer for Sundays or during the week. This position requires proper training and current certifications. While we hope to have skiing during the week (praying something comes through), we have plenty of activities at the Lodge for people of all ages.
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, we held a chairlift evacuation training, and we now have several individuals trained and ready. This ensures we can safely operate the chairlift during daytime hours, and our intention is to run both the chairlift and the rope tow throughout the day.
During the training, we discovered that the lights on the chairlift side of the mountain were not functioning. An electrician assessed the issue and determined that there is a break in the underground wiring. We contacted the State Inspector to request permission to run a temporary aerial wire for the remainder of the season; however, the Inspector informed us that all wiring must remain in conduit, and a temporary aerial setup is not permitted.
As a result, night skiing on the chairlift side will remain unavailable until spring, when the ground thaws and repairs can be completed. Daytime operations are not affected.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support as we work through these challenges and keep Campton Mountain operating safely.
